Adoption Terms

Caring for a dog is a responsibility that typically lasts over 10 years, during which time it will be entirely dependent on you. If, during this time, you experience any difficulties with its care, its treatment, or if it becomes impossible for you to continue caring for it, do you agree to notify us immediately so that we can jointly take the necessary steps for its benefit?

Mandatory steps in the adoption process include meeting the dog at its foster home or the shelter before finalizing the adoption, and allowing one of our volunteers to visit your home after the adoption. Do you agree to these terms?

The adoption agreement is an important step to formalize the process and demonstrates a readiness for a long-term commitment and personal responsibility. It details requirements for a safe and healthy life, agreement to regularly provide photos, and consent for a home visit once a year (by prior arrangement and at a convenient time). Do you agree to these terms?

Adopting a dog from a shelter is a wonderful decision that will, to some extent, bring change into your life. Our detailed questionnaire might seem extensive, but it's designed to help you make a more informed decision, ensuring that the dog you bring into your home will not only seamlessly integrate into your life but also bring you joy and companionship for years to come. Through these questions, we aim to understand more about your daily and family dynamics so we can provide the most appropriate recommendations and advice, both for preparing for adoption and for caring for the dog afterward, tailored to your lifestyle. This is also the purpose of our commitment to visit the adopted dog's new home – it's not an inspection, but an opportunity to offer personalized advice for a smooth transition for the new furry family member.
