Walk a dog with the gang
Become a volunteer in the walks of our bandits and gift them with time outside the cages. Walks in Seslavtsi are every Saturday, and in Gorni Bogrov - every Sunday. We're expecting you.

Benefits of walks
For us, it's not just a walk. These are walks that:
Give dogs a chance to fight their fears and prepare them for their successful adoption
Provide mental and physical diversity to caged dogs in need of attention
Promote volunteering and introduce to the public the problem of stray dogs in Sofia
Help the socialization of puppies so that they can get used to us humans and not feel fear later
Communicating with dogs
Despite the large number of volunteers, dogs in Bogrov are taken out once every 3-4 weeks, and those in Seslavtsi leave their cages only once a week. This explains, to some extent, why some of them are full with energy and pulling hard on the leash. However, others will not yet walk confidently, because they are not yet used to it and feel fear. Some dogs may even prefer to lie on the ground and not walk at all. This is not because they are “lazy” or because they “do not want” to walk. They just need time.
Do not “correct” the dog by strongly and sharply pulling the leash so that it does not pull. Instead, ask a senior volunteer (wearing a yellow T-shirt) to give you a harnes so that the walk is enjoyable for the dog. Now you are ready to run together!
If the dog does not walk because its still stressed, look for a senior volunteer who will show you and explain how to cope in this situation.
Don't let your children pull their ears, tails, or hug the dogs. Hugs are valued primarily by people, and puppies rather tolerate them.
During the walk, let the dog initially seek contact with you, it will show whether he mainly wants to walk and sniff, run or be petted and scratched.
